Ate the wings from the hot bar 2 days in a row! I was in town for a convention and the hot bar was a life saver. I can't eat food from everywhere, while out of town, so I was grateful for Earth Fare. Had chicken croissant, cheesecake brownies, tortilla chips, etc... All delicious and nutritionally sound. Thanks Earth Fare 💕

Great to have a healthy grocery store like this in Athens! Solid selection of brands, and a wide variety of produce. Bulk section is pretty well stocked, as is the meat section. It is a bit small (so some brands or items might not be present), but all of the essentials are covered. Worth visiting!

I came in this Wednesday for the first time specifically because I learned about your sushi discount. I was very disappointed to find that only the lower-quality options—those made with imitation fish—are included, while the better options with salmon and tuna are not. I confirmed with staff that this is the case every week. This feels misleading and, frankly, more like a marketing tactic than a genuine effort to make healthy food accessible. If Earth Fare’s mission is “improving lives by making healthy food available to everyone,” then the higher-quality, healthier sushi should also be included in the discount—not just the lowest-tier options. Please consider making all sushi, including the better-quality selections, part of the Wednesday discount. Thank you!

Well-trimmed ribeyes with consistent marbling, clean presentation, and visible freshness. They also had London broil on sale, which adds value for anyone looking to stock up without sacrificing quality. The case was organized and easy to navigate, which isn’t always the norm in specialty grocery environments. Prepared foods are another strong point. Pizza by the slice is available daily (2 slices for $7.50 at the time of visit), and the pies were fresh and well-balanced. It’s a convenient option if you’re grabbing groceries but don’t want to cook that night. Overall, Earth Fare feels intentional — quality-forward without being overwhelming. If you’re in Athens and prioritize cleaner ingredients, strong butcher selections, and quick prepared meal options, this location checks the boxes.

They have the best selection of plant-based products—way better than most grocery stores I have been to. I especially love all their plant-based cheese and ice cream options, as well as their Prime Roots vegan deli meat over in the deli.
